How it works
We provide a convenient one-way, self-guided public shuttle service to the northern trailheads of Deadwood, Englewood, Dumont, Rochford, and Mystic. We gather at our shop in the morning at the designated time, load up, and head out.
The initial drop-off point is approximately an hour's drive away, possibly longer, depending on road construction (starting in 2024) and other traffic conditions. We go to the most northern trailhead booked for the day first, then make the other stops on our way back to Hill City. As a public shuttle, we may have mixed groups going to different trailheads. Please plan your time accordingly.
Once at your chosen trailhead, you'll have the day to immerse yourself in the Mickelson Trail's beauty, nature, and rich history. The trail is very well marked, and once you're on the trail, you're on the trail.
These drop-off points allow you to visit the 4 carved rock tunnels, the historic town of Rochford, home of the legendary Moonshine Gulch Saloon and Small of America - the smallest mall in the country.
Shuttle Capacity: 12 persons
